On Highway 785 north of Fort Macleod, Head-Smashed-In is the largest and best preserved buffalo kill site in North America, and the superb Interpretive Centre portrays life on the prairies over thousands of years. The interpretive centre is open daily from 10am to 5pm except on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday.
